The Hotel
A house, a legacy
In the heart of the city, the Rosemary hotel tells the story of a century-old residence that is reborn to offer you a haven of tranquility and greenery.

The house
Boulevard Hyacinthe de Montera - 1925
In the heart of Bastia, a few steps from the hustle and bustle of the city center and yet sheltered from the tumult, stands a house that the people of Bastia have always known.
Built in 1925, this bourgeois building was born at a time when prominent families chose to settle on the immediate heights of the city, in homes open to the light, the sea and the gardens, reconciling city life and Mediterranean gentleness.
Behind its facades with their simple and balanced lines, the house sheltered an intense family life, punctuated by the seasons, receptions, and Corsican summers. Its garden, designed in terraces according to an architectural plan now listed and protected, already formed a rare haven of greenery in the very center of Bastia.
Long silent, the house seemed to exist outside of time. Abandoned for a time, but never forgotten, it remained deeply rooted in the memory of Bastia. The Corsicans, very attached to this iconic residence, saw it as a sleeping house, laden with memories, simply waiting to be reborn.
Today, this rebirth is being written with absolute respect for its history. The house has become the Rosemary Hotel, a hotel where architectural heritage engages in dialogue with contemporary requirements.
Nothing has been erased. Everything has been revealed. The volumes, the island's unique light, the views of the Mediterranean, the scents of Corsican essences, the presence of the garden at the heart of the project: each element has guided the transformation.
More than a luxury hotel in Bastia, Rosemary remains first and foremost a house that has rediscovered its original vocation: to welcome, protect, offer time and beauty, in the very heart of the city.

Art & Design
A reinvented home
The encounter with the soul of the place guided every choice. From the very first sketches, Rosemary Hotel was conceived not as a classic hotel, but as a home reborn.
The existing architecture, the original volumes, the terraced gardens, and the views of Bastia and the Mediterranean have been respected and enhanced. Here, the decoration never imposes itself on the building; it accompanies it, reveals it, and extends it. The project was entrusted to the architects Liautard & The Queen, driven by a shared desire: to preserve the spirit of a bourgeois Bastia residence while infusing it with a discreet and controlled modernity. Rather than creating a static decor, they envisioned Rosemary as a traveler's villa, enriched by diverse influences, blending Mediterranean heritage, contemporary touches, and carefully selected antique pieces.
One house, one vision
Today, this rebirth is being written with absolute respect for its history. The house has become the Rosemary Hotel, a five-star hotel where architectural heritage engages in dialogue with contemporary standards.
Nothing has been erased. Everything has been revealed. The volumes, the unique light of Corsica, the views of the Mediterranean, the presence of the garden at the heart of the project: each element has guided the transformation.
More than a luxury hotel in Bastia, Rosemary remains first and foremost a house that has rediscovered its original vocation: to welcome, protect, offer time and beauty, in the very heart of the city.
